Bob Boynton

  Bob Boynton is an emerging Florida artist that is new to The King's Gallery in The Villages. His award winning art is a combination of photography and painting. The photographic portions of his work are high-resolution digital giclees, printed on canvas in a six-color process. Bob then extends the photograph by hand-painting the frame in acrylic paint to complete the work. This is the perfect combination of photgraphy and painting, allowing Bob to utilize his abilities and passions in this creative and unique art form.
  His intrest in photography developed during high school where he was a yearbook photographerand worked part-timein a photographic studio. He ysed his photographic knowledge to earn spending money during college. While in South West Baptist University he majored in psychology and art. After graduation he pursued a career as a florist. After 22 years as a decorator, Bob came to Orlando in 1984 as a floral designer for Walt Disney World.
  Bob started painting this type of art in 2002 using glossy enlargements of his photographs taken with his 35 mm camera. In 2004, he switched to digital photography. Digital photography allows Bob to see the results of the picture immediately. Having changed to digital photography, he soon began to the process of changing his photos from glossy to canvas. He felt that the giclees provided a more artistic rendering of his photographs. The results of his endevors payed off.
